Deale International recalled Altafit smartwatches because their wireless charging pads can overheat and ignite, creating risks of serious burn injuries and fire hazards. Users reported that the charging pads would become extremely hot during charging, with some actually catching fire on nightstands and desks.
The lithium batteries in these devices can enter thermal runaway when the charging circuits malfunction.
