Are Schools Putting Litter Boxes In Bathrooms For Furries?
A state senator recently claimed that schools were putting litter boxes in bathrooms to accommodate students that identify as furries.
It’s difficult to know reality from satire in the current political climate. Even the Babylon Bee (a popular satire news site) has predicted political events which came true after their stories were published. Plenty of parents are flat out confused and taken aback at how far public schools are willing to push their own political rhetoric instead of teaching core classes like reading, writing, science, and math — which have been the foundation of a well-rounded education long before the United States was founded. Knowing this, it’s no wonder that people now have to ask themselves questions like: are schools putting litter boxes in bathrooms for furries?
For anyone who doesn’t know what a furry is, they are a small minority of people who think it’s sexy to dress up as animals to have sex. That was, at least, how this fetish began. Thanks to identity politics plenty of furries now actually identify as animals. Imagine a grown woman who dresses as a skunk and wants everyone to think she is truly a skunk.
For some, furries sound unreal. Despite this, grown-ups pretending to be something they’re not have become common rhetoric as men who dress as women are now being referred to as actual females, and this has a serious effect on younger generations. While LGBTQ ideologies are being promoted and taught in schools, the number of trans children has continued to increase. Not only that but school policies have begun to change based on this trend.
There’s the bathroom debate where some parents believe that children should be allowed to use whatever bathroom they feel like, instead of the one their biology leads them to for safety and anatomically correct facilities (urinals for boys, etc). Drag Queen story hour has presented children with the idea that it’s perfectly normal for grown men to dress like glitter fairy princesses. Then there’s the fact that an actual “Sexy Sex-Ed” summer camp exists. Here students are taught how to safely “self-manage” abortion, become a sex worker, have sex while using illegal drugs, and more. These concepts are not only highly alarming, they seem unreal to many parents who have children with normal everyday concerns like pimples and pop-quizzes, so it’s no wonder when someone hears about schools putting litter boxes into their bathrooms to appease furries and actually believes it.
Nebraska State Senator Bruce Bostleman believed satire to be true when he found this idea and posted his opposition to such policies. Thankfully, he realized that the information on furries was a hoax and issued an apology. It may seem funny that even elected officials can fall prey to these hoaxes, but in truth, so many strange and unseemly policies and events have taken place in public schools, that the concept of furries being accommodated isn’t all that far-fetched.
Did Senator Bostleman make a mistake about furries in school? Yes. Should he have apologized? Most people believe so. Even so, the truth of the matter is that public schools have gotten so out of control, that parents and even politicians can no longer tell the difference between reality and satire. That in itself should tell everyone what they need to know about the state of the American education system. Those in charge would benefit from taking note, lest this hoax actually follows the Babylon Bee’s example and become reality in the future.
